Abstract:

Cornell University (LEPP) and Purdue University are
initiating a program to study properties of various TPC
readout devices, addressing issues of spatial resolution,
reliability and ion feedback. Readout modules incorporating
GEM and MicroMegas amplification will be built at Purdue;
the TPC is being built at Cornell. While funding has been
requested through UCLC, we are proceeding with TPC
construction and instrumentation using LEPP funds. Turn-on
is expected later in 2004.
