Abstract:
Frequency Scanned Interferometer(FSI) demonstration system for LC tracker alignment at Michigan is updated. We report high-precision absolute distance and vibration measurements performed simultaneously with FSI using a pair of single mode optical fibers. Two multi-distance- measurement analysis techniques were developed to improve distance precision and to extract the amplitude and frequency of vibrations. In addition, a dual-laser FSI system intended to cancel the drift errors is under study in the lab recently.
